The children and their parents at Primary Children’s Medical Center got a special surprise this week when Al Jefferson, Marvin Williams, Paul Millsap and other players showed up for their annual holiday visit. The team members went room-to-room talking with the patients, posing for pictures and handing out mini basketballs with their autographs.
Some lucky children even got to hang out with the Jazz Bear for a little while. The players and the coaches say it’s an event they look forward to every year.
“We don’t consider this work. This is something different, something above that,” Millsap said. “Things aren’t as bad as we think they are. You lose a game, but that’s minimum compared to what these families are going through. So, you know, you come here and it puts things back into perspective.”
